After being in the installation business for about 15 years, I think people are going to find the upgrade easier than vista. One reason would be of the resources that the installation takes. You can do more with windows 7 than you can with vista. Less memory is one. However, allot of software vendors out there are coming up .net 4.0 programs instead of trying to write a patch. This recession is putting a strain on companies and so to make their share holders happy, you might get forced to purchase a new upgrade.
